The Alpha 87A command protocol offers a full set to completely control the amplifier - including switching it on and off. However the amplifier status has to be polled. The software does this every 500 milliseconds by default or by any other value you set in the Programm Settings. The software also calculates the VSWR and displays it on the bottom panel as well as the Operating Frequency, Reflected Power, Grid Current, Peak Power and Input Power.

I have used Bernd's Alpha 87a software for years with AlphaMax and I don't recall any issues.
My immediate problem, though, is that I did a complete re-install of Win11 thinking I had saved a copy of his remote software and that it was available on his website anyway.
Well it's no longer listed on his website. Ugh. I really don't care for the other remote programs written for the 87a.
If you've got that installation program, would you mind forwarding it to me or pointing to where it might still be available on the web.
